Kenneth J. Pettigrew has been a resident of Washington DC since 2001. Mr. Pettigrew began his career at UHU as volunteer over eight years and has held almost every title within agency from program assistant to now director of programs. Prior to coming to UHU, Mr. Pettigrew worked as manager in Telecommunications. Mr. Pettigrew has served on numerous boards, advisory and steering committees including DC Coalition, one of the oldest advocacy groups for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender individual in the District of Columbia.  He has serves as an alternate member of the local Community Plan Group and in the past, served on the Ryan White Title I planning group.  Ken Pettigrew is a 2005 graduate of the CDC Institute for HIV Prevention Leadership.

He is committed ensuring the all individuals, HIV positive or negative, are able live out there live with the greatest dignity, pride and respect that they deserve.
