Us Helping Us & the DC Black Theatre Festival join forces for the "TEST FOR TICKETS" Promotion
June 21st - 30th, the DC Black Theatre Festival returns for its 4th consecutive year showcasing a vast array of theatre & performing arts works written, directed, produced & performed by African American artists from all over the globe. This year, Us Helping Us lends support to the festival by offering FREE TICKETS to select performances (written & produced by Black LGBTQ individuals).
Each person who visits Us Helping Us to get tested (or if HIV positive, brings in a copy of their most recent lab results to verify that they are in care) will receive a free ticket to "B-Boy Blues" (Wed, June 26th - 7 pm), adapted from the novel by James Earl Hardy or "Subject To CHANGE..." (Thurs, June 27th - 7 pm), produced by Washington, DC's Brave Soul Collective. This offer is valid until Tuesday, June 25th while supplies last. National HIV Testing Day - Thursday June 27th

On June 27th, you're invited to join us at the UHU office for a special community wide HIV Testing Event. We'll be offering FREE HIV Testing from 2 pm - 8 pm & 95.5 - WPGC Radio will be broadcasting LIVE from our offices during the event. Whether you're in DC and decide to visit us or go elsewhere, UHU encourages EVERYONE to get tested & to know your status. Regular Weekly Events:
MONDAYS (7 - 9 pm) - “U… a black gay men’s affinity group”
A safe space where black gay men can find meaningful conversations, share perspectives, and find support on topics that affect us in today’s society.
WEDNESDAYS (7 - 9 pm) - “A positive U… for black gay men living with HIV/AIDS”
A safe, confidential space and support group to explore what it means to be black, gay and HIV-positive in today’s world.
THURSDAYS (6:30 - 7:45 pm) - “Coming Up From The Bottom - Narcotics Anonymous Meeting” This a a regular meeting of NA. Anyone who is an addict or thinks s/he may be an addict is welcome. NOTE: It is a closed meeting of NA, so it is not intended for individuals who are not addicts. This group is independent and is not a program of Us Helping Us. SATURDAYS (10 - 11 am) - “Exercise Group: Stretching and Low Impact Arobics”
