Group Level Programs UHU offers a variety of programs designed to meet the needs of various black gay men within the Washington, DC area. All groups are confidential and meet in a safe space. Trained peers from the community facilitate all groups.
Black Gay Men Discussion Group: Every Monday at 7pm, black gay men come together to discuss topics and issues that affect them most. Compelling and dynamic discussions on subjects such as politics, religion, sex and what it means to be black and gay are discussed each week.
Mature Men’s Group: Over forty, black and gay? If so, there is safe space for you. Each Tuesday at 7pm, mature men over the age of forty come to discuss issues, such as health, life and topics that are relevant to mature men.
HIV Positive Support: Being black and gay has its challenges. When you couple that with being HIV-positive, you may need someone to talk to. Every Wednesday at 7pm, black gay, HIV-positive men come together to give and receive support. The group provides support around such issues as disclosure, health and coping with being HIV-positive.
See monthly calendar for dates and time of all group-level programs.
