A DC study of 500 gay men found that HIV prevalence among Black gay men 30 years old and older was 32% and the rate for men under 30 was 12%. Sexual active Black gay men in the District should get a HIV test at least three or four (3 - 4) times a year. Individual Counseling: When you need someone to talk to, there is someone who will listen.
Us Helping Us provides individual counseling for black gay/bisexual men, who are HIV positive and need to talk about some of their real issues and concerns. Our licensed therapists are available to provide you with a reliable, private, non-judgmental place to talk about you. We will give you the time you need to ask your questions, face your fears and discover who you are.
