Overall, in the District of Columbia, men who have sex with men (MSM) is the leading mode of transmission for HIV/AIDS accounting for 37% of living cases. In 2007, the majority of gay men living with HIV/AIDS were Black and aged between 30 and 39 at time of diagnosis. And among Black gay men, 25% of the HIV/AIDS cases were diagnosed in men younger than 30 years of age. |
